Polaroid Film Camera Partially Made of Wood
Man, if you ever wanted a throwback in camera design, then do I ever have a winner for you.
It may come as a shock to us here in the digital camera universe that Polaroid is actually planning to release an instant film camera, just like they used to way, way back in the day. Called the PIC-1000, it’s slated to have flash, a red eye reduction system and a self timer, plus come in your choice of finishes, including the aforementioned wood (effect) or a kind of blobby silver.
You have to admit, it’s definitely a bold strategy. Not like the instant filmprint market is exactly swamped with competitors right now, and it’s great for teenage kids who want to sext the old fashioned way, but I can’t see where too many people are going to be up for the very latest model of some of the oldest technology in the game today.
No word yet on price, but it’ll be available soon, so keep your eyes front.
