Pure Digital U1120W Camcorder Review–Even Worse Than Its Predecessor
I don’t know what’s up with the Pure Digital line of Flip Video camcorders but I haven’t found a good one yet. And today’s review target, the Pure Digital U1120W, will not provide them with any convenient exceptions to the rule, either.
The Pure Digital U1120W offers 640X480 resolution, four gigs of onboard memory, a 2x digital zoom, a flip out USB arm, a two inch LCD screen, FlipShare software for easy uploads to YouTube, MySpace and AOL Video, and a cable to connect it to your television for instant wider screen viewing.
And you get all of this incredible utility for the low, low price of just a hundred and fifty dollars.
It’d be hilarious if it weren’t so insulting.
2x digital zoom? On a CAMCORDER? Why even bother put a zoom in at all if all you can coax out of it is twice normal vision? And they can call this “TV-quality video” until they’re blue in the face, but frankly, if I saw video like this on my TV I’d probably buy a new one. After I shot it, like Elvis did his.
Once again I’m left with no choice but to declare this a seriously bad buy (I can’t believe that the U2120B was actually the GOOD one!) and urge you very strenuously to not buy the Pure Digital u1120W.
