Pure Digital U2120B Camcorder Review–More Like Pure Waste of Money
Today I get to talk about a Pure Digital camcorder, although I’m not terribly happy about it. Specifically, today’s review target is the Pure Digital U2120B, released under the Flip Video brand name.
The Pure Digital U2120B is a 720p camcorder that offers eight gig of built in memory, a two inch LCD screen, a flip-out USB arm for easy connection to a computer, built-in FlipShare software for easy uploading to YouTube, MySpace and AOL video, and HDMI output for quick connection to a television.
The problem I have here is the same problem that I have with most any similar camcorder in the line–you simply do not get the level of performance that you’re paying for. The zoom is short, the image quality is a sick joke, trying to work with that two-inch screen is a pain worse than proctology and the price for this horror is an outrage (at least, as outrageous as machines’ pricing goes).
Thus, if you get an opportunity to buy a two hundred dollar Pure Digital U2120B camcorder, I say pass it up and buy a REAL camcorder instead.
