Quantum Dot-Based QuantumFilm Image Sensors Launched
A new technology which aims to capture stunning images via mobile handset cameras has been unveiled by InVisage Technologies, Inc. This will be the company’s first commercial quantum dot-based image sensors for mobile phones.
Called the QuantumFilm, these image sensors carry professional camera features which include 4X higher performance and 2X higher dynamic range. The first QuantumFilm image sensors will be sampled by the fourth quarter of 2010, targeting smartphones and other types of high-end mobile devices.
