Really Sensitive Cameras Can Show Your Inner Glow
Researchers at the Kyoto University have been using some really sensitive cameras which can detect single photons. The obtained pictures are similar to infrared heat maps but they are nothing like that. As you can see the pictures captured visible light that was emitted by the skin and particularly by the area around the face. That’s how scientists have been able to conclude that light emitted by the skin varies during the day. It rises and falls showing low points around 10AM and high points around 4AM. Who knows what this technology will be able to offer in the near future? We’ll be waiting to see if the use of such ultrasensitive cameras will be used extensively in medicine and related fields once researchers can draw more conclusions from their current photo tests.
