Red Light Camera Protest Movement–With Video!
We’ve had a LOT of articles on here about the various locations that are considering, actively installing, or getting rid of red light traffic cameras for any of dozens of reasons. But what surprises me is the steadily growing backlash against them.
Today, I got video from a protest march just three days ago in Kansas City, one of ELEVEN cities that simultaneously (to within the same few hours, anyway) organized protests against red light cameras.
This is an offshoot of a group called the Liberty Restoration Project, and frankly, it’s amazing how these protesters are willing to march in what looks like horrible weather just to get the word out. Of course, it wasn’t horrible all over–some of the protesters were marching in clearly much more pleasant climes than Kansas can offer in February.
But the key thing here is, eleven cities took part in protests against these cameras. It’s not just me, folks–I’m not the only one who finds these things reprehensible.
