Ricoh has just announced two new 10-megapixel compact digital cameras, one of which is the model R50 with 5x optical zoom. This 10-MP camera uses Smooth Imaging EngineIII. It features a 2.7-inch, 460,000-pixel HVGA LCD, a 1:1 aspect ratio for square image photography, and a redesigned body (with a solid metal feel) measuring only 22.6 mm at its thinnest point. It also boasts face recognition, Ricoh’s original CCD-shift vibration correction function, and enhanced image editing functions.
