Samsung has two new compact cameras for you guys, the PL70 and the PL55. Both cameras come with a 12-megapixel shooter but they’re rather suitable for amateur photographers since they come with pretty entry-level features. The PL70 will offer you a 3-inch LCD screen, a 28mm wide-angle lens and image stabilizer, 720p video recording and face recognition software. The PL55 comes with a 2.7-inch LCD screen, a 35mm wide-angle lens and image stabilization.

The cameras will cost $229.99 and $149.99, respectively and they will be known as the SL720 and the SL502 in the USA. The cameras will arrive sometime in August but we’ll keep you posted.
