Samsung Launches The ST100 And ST600 Cameras
Recently, Samsung launched two new digital cameras known as the ST100 and ST600. These hand-held, digital imaging machines are equipped with DualView screens and both carry many of the same features. Some of these specifications include a bigger 1.8-inch front screen, 14.2 mega-pixel sensor with ISO 3200 sensitivity, a 3.5-inch rear display and a new “jump shot” mode designed to use the front screen to signal a bunch of people to join in for a group shot. Then it takes three successive shots of that group.
Furthermore, the cameras also feature 720p video recording, a gesture-sensitive touch screen interface and smart face recognition that’s able to identify at least six manually chosen people and 14 automatically registered people. But if you’re looking for a difference between the two Samsung cameras, then you’ll find it in their lenses. The ST600 comes with a 5x wide angle optical zoom lens and costs $329. Meanwhile, the ST100 takes a more slender approach with a 5x internal optical zoom and it’s priced at $349. According to Engadget, they will also be available in a series of metallic color options although an official release date has yet to be announced for the time being.
