Samsung SMX-F40BN/XAA Camcorder Review–Shockingly Good Value
I like Samsung camcorders. Sure, I’ve had my issues with other Samsung gear, but Samsung camcorders have been pretty good to me over the months. And so too is the case with the Samsung SMX-F40BN/XAA.
The Samsung SMX-F40BN/XAA is a camcorder with 52x optical zoom and a jaw-dropping 2200x digital zoom, a 2.7 inch LCD monitor, digital image stabilization, face detection technology, low-light shooting capability, time lapse recording, two megapixel digital still shooting capability, a USB port, and Intelli-Studio 2.0 software for organizing and editing both videos and photos.
The biggest thing with this one is its zoom capability. I got a couple hundred feet out of it (though I still think Best Buy needs a shooting range for camcorders, letting you easily tell how far your range is. Beats my method of “sight something and pace it off”.), and I can’t remember the last time I heard about a four-figure digital zoom. The controls are simple enough to operate, and the price will absolutely blow your mind.
You can get this terrific camcorder for the price of some compact digital cameras–a whopping hundred and seventy bucks.
If you need a great long-range camcorder solution, then you’ll be enamored with the Samsung SMX-F40BN/XAA.
