Samsung SpinPoint M5 Hard Drive Series



Samsung Electronics today announced its new 160GB hard drive using 2.5inch disks and has shipped test samples of the SpinPoint M5 Series to original equipment manufacturers (OEM) vendors. The new SpinPoint M5 series uses perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) technology and features a 5,400rpm spin rate, 1.5Gbps SATA interface and 8MB cache memory.
