Samsung TL220 Camera Review–A Surprisingly Nice Samsung

Samsung has gotten a bad rap from me a lot of times, mostly because I often have a problem with their overly kittenish attempts at being “futuristic” with their controls.  But I’ve learned not to underestimate Samsung, because they often have a way of surprising you.  That’s exactly what they’ll do with the Samsung TL220.

The Samsung TL220 is a twelve megapixel digital camera with a wide angle Schneider lens, 4.6x optical zoom, three inch LCD touchscreen, both optical AND digital stabilization, a “child mode” to capture the wandering attentions of little ones with an animated effect on the front LCD panel, a variety of shooting modes, a “beauty shot” mode that’ll let you take some editing liberties with your pictures, and microSD card compatibility to expand the storage capabilities.

I’m impressed with the camera’s touchscreen and dual LCD screens, and the camera itself is pretty easy to use.  You likely won’t have too much trouble catching on, after a little practice.  In fact, I’m just generally impressed with the Samsung TL220, and even the price is pretty decent at two hundred and twenty three bucks via the folks at Amazon.

If you’re in the market for a new camera, take a second look at the Samsung TL220.  You shouldn’t be disappointed.
