Samsung Electronics America, Inc. enhanced its celebrated MultiXpress series of Multifucntions with the release of the MultiXpress SCX-6555N. The device has been optimized to fulfill the requirements of professional workgroups searching for better options in letter-size printing. The multifunction offers several enhanced options including network printing and scanning with security.

“Samsung understands the importance of expanding its customer base to capture a greater portion of the office workgroup environment,” said Mark Meisberger, senior product marketing manager, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “The creation of the SCX – 6555N, A4 MFP, offers end users a fast and reliable office solution and has an advantage of getting four units for the price of one.”

The MultiXpress SCX-6555N beautifully prints and copies 55 pages in a minute at 1200 x 1200 dpi. Designed to unburden daily documentation jobs of busiest workflows, the MultiXpress comes equipped with numerous features. The powerful color laser multifunction generates rich color documents at 40 pages per minute at 1200 x 1200 dpi. The device combines print, copy, scan and fax options in a small footprint for convenience.

Samsung has announced the latest member in its i-Series family, the i8. The i8 is a sleek and stylish 8-megapixel camera with Samsung's Portable Media Player technology, which gives users the ability to enjoy movies, videos, and music on the move. Measuring just 3.5x2.3x0.8 inches, the pocket-sized i8 has a photosensitivity of ISO 1600 making even low-light pictures come out sharp and clear. It also has Digital Image Stabilization to minimize hand-shake errors and a nonprotruding 3x optical zoom bringing those long shots much more closer with Face Detection and Auto Red-Eye Fix aiding in the quality of pictures. The Function Description feature automatically provides a easy-to-understand description of each setting while scrolling through menus, very helpful for amateur and aspiring shooters. With Multi-Slide Show, users can watch their images scroll to the camera's preloaded music or their own favorite MP3s.

Moving to its PMP functions, the i8 can play movies and music with a 2.5 mm jack provided for audio-out. SRS 3D acoustic technology is another new feature not commonly found even on PMPs. Samsung cheerfully introduced its ML-1640 line up of Mono Laser Printers after getting approval from the FCC. The printer has been customized for small office workgroups. The monochrome needs less than 10 seconds of time to deliver its first printout. It prints Black and White documents on A4 size sheets at the pace of 16 pages per minute with 1200 x 600 dpi as maximum resolution. Its paper tray can hold up to 150 sheets at a time for convenience.

The ML-1640 integrates Samsung’s reliable technology to increase efficiency. The device requires less than 35 seconds to warm up and gives a duty cycle of up to 5000 pages per month. The laser beam printing helps to reduce overall printing costs with shipped cartridge lasting up to 700 prints. However, a standard cartridge lasts up to 1500 sheets of paper.
