Samsung NV10 Digicam Review

Samsung-NV10-fr-lg.jpgPC World has reviewed the Samsung NV10 and give it a FAIR Rating. The camera was liked for its Touch Sensitive Interface and its Anti-Shake Mode on the control dial itself. However it did suffer from low battery like and lacked manual controls. The menu was found to be cumbersome too.

The Samsung NV10 is a throwback to the 70’s era and has a colossal 10 mega pixel resolution. Users will also like the innovative touch pad Graphical User Interface (GUI), Schneider 3x optical zoom lens (35-105mm equivalent), a 5x digital zoom and the brushed black aluminum body. This is a part of Samsung’s new line which sports a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for intuitive operation and includes a touch pad located along the LCD. The NV10 also includes the revolutionary Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) technology and can record in VGA (640x480) at 30fps and includes a movie stabilizer function for detecting and correcting minor shakes. It also includes additional effects and modes like Color Effect, Highlight, Photo Frame, Negative and Composite Shot. Scene modes include Night, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Close-up, Sunset, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow and Text Recognition.

The website concludes "In our lab tests, the NV10's overall image quality earned a score of only Good. Though its scores for color and exposure accuracy were above average, and its images looked sharp, its downfall was distortion, which our jury noticed in abundance in our test image. Battery life was similarly unimpressive: The NV10 mustered less than 200 shots on a single charge of its lithium ion battery, versus the average of 279."
