Samsung NV7 OPS Digital Camera Review!
The website DCResource have reviewed the uber sexy Samsung NV7 OPS and like it for its sexy looks, its high-resolution LCD, its powerful flash, its comprehensive feature set and its intuitive user interface. What they didn't care about was the camera's tendency to produce noisy images and red-eye, poor battery life, no viewfinder, lack of image stabilization in movie mode and no Mac software.
The 7 megapixel NV7 OPS includes impressive features like a 2.5 inch LCD, manual controls, F2.8 - 3.7, 7X optical zoom lens, equivalent to 38 - 270 mm and CCD-shift image stabilization system. The NV7 OPS like all the cameras in the NV series sports a brush stainless steel body and measures 4.2" x 2.5" x .8 .This one too has a trademark Samsung blue ring located around the Schneider 7x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 38-270 mm in 35 mm format) lens and the new and radical Graphical User Interface (GUI). The NV7 includes three kinds of manual exposure adjustment, including Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual adjustment. The digicam can also record movie footage and capture VGA (640x480) at 30fps.
In the end the review writes "Camera performance was good in some areas, and not-so-good in others. The NV7’s three second startup time is nothing to write home about, though it has decent focus speeds, even in low light. Shutter lag was not an issue, and shot-to-shot delays were minimal, as long as you’re not using the ASR feature. If you are, expect 2-4 second waits between shots. The NV7 has several continuous shooting modes, none of which are impressive. One’s too slow, while the fast ones black out the LCD during shooting, which makes it kind of hard to track a moving subject. Battery life on the NV7 is well below average.”
