Sanyo Launches A New Dual Camera Xacti
If you’re currently looking for a water-resistant, video camera with HD functionality, then you might be interested in Sanyo’s latest Dual Camera Xacti, the VPC-CA102YL. This device is designed to withstand water damage for a maximum depth of ten feet. Furthermore, the camera sports a pistol-grip design that you won’t see with some of the camcorders available out there.
Other specifications of the VPC-CA102YL include a 5x zoom lens, a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels, video at 60 frames per second, flip-out rotating 2.7-inch LCD and a Mini-HDMI port. In addition to this, it works with Eye-Fi SD cards, allowing you to do wireless transfers directly from the camera. You can even expand the internal storage up to 64GB with a SDXC card for 480 minutes of recording time.
However, Crave reports that the VPC-CA102YL might not actually have the capacity for full HD and it fails to deliver on its promise of 38mm-equivalent wide-angle lens functionality as well. Nonetheless, this video camera is equipped with 14 mega-pixels like previous Sanyo Dual Camera Xacti models. Thus, the VPC-CA102YL is due to launch this month for an MSRP of $349.99.
