SANYO Xacti CG9 Camcorder

SANYO, a popular digital camera manufacturer has launched the new Xacti CG9, an easy to use MPEG-4 digital camcorder with advanced features. Sporting a large 2.5-inch display, this new digital camcorder from SANYO comes with silicon TFT Liquid Crystal Display (LCD).

Featuring the High Resolution CMOS Image Sensor and ‘Face Chaser’ Technology, SANYO Xacti CG9 lets you upload photos and videos easily to portable media players and some social networking websites. SANYO Xacti CG9 comes fitted with a 9.1 megapixel lens and a 5x optical zoom.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG9 Digital Movie Camera

Sanyo unveiled its new digital movie camera ' Xacti VPC-CG9' in the Korean market. The VPC-CG9 boasts a 2.5-inch LCD monitor and a 9.1M CMOS sensor with a high-performance F3.5, 5x optical zoom lens. The camera integrates MPEG-4 AVC (Advanced Video Coding) / H.264 high compression and recording to capture and compresses 60 VGA (640 x 480) frames into each second.

The Xacti VPC-CG9 captures beautiful stills at 2MP while recording VGA movies without interrupting movie shooting. Its shake-control mechanism assists in generation of superior, blur-free stills and its digital image stabilizer produces high quality movies.

The SD memory card compatible camera is currently available in white and pink shades with special silver edition to be available in July. You can get your own, Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG9 Digital Movie Camera for the suggested price of 398,000(KRW).

The Sanyo Xacti S70 has a resolution of seven megapixels and comes equipped with a 3x optical zoom lens. Users will also be privy to a 2.5", responsive LCD monitor and features like automatic face recognition.The Sanyo Xacti S70 includes both Auto and Force Flash Modes.Sanyo has not released much details and this is the press summary.

SANYO CG6 Digital Video Camera

sanyo_cam_CG6.jpgSanyo has launched its new Video/Still Camera for the US market. The SANYO Xacti CG6 digital video/still camera weighs less than six ounces with battery and has a piston grip.

The SANYO Xacti CG6 has been equipped with a 6.0 megapixel CCD and a 5X optical zoom lens and for enhanced imagery also includes "blur correction with gyro sensor" system. This as you may have guessed helps in combating image blur which arises due to camera shakes. Low-light performance is down to 2 lux and there is a separate digital image stabilizer for video recording.

The SANYO CG6 is SDHC-compatible and hence record up to 4 hours of high-quality video on a 4 GB SDHC memory card, up to 2 hours on a standard 2GB SD card, and up to 1 hour on a standard 1 GB SD card. The camera has a large 2.5-inch LCD panel which can rotate up to 290 degrees and one also comes across an AV terminal/headphone jack on the camera body front. The SANYO Xacti CG6 will be available in the U.S. at the end of March at an MSRP of $329.99(*2). The stylish blue Xacti CG6 will be available at Wal-Mart Stores nationwide.

SANYO Xacti HD2 Camcorder

xactihd2.jpgAh gotta love something which claims to be the lightest and the smallest camcorder in the world! So who has the title shifted to now you may ask? Well its none other than the new SANYO Xacti HD2 which is on display at CES 2007.

The SANYO Xacti HD2 is a 720p high-definition digital camcorder which also moonlights as a 7.1 megapixel digital still camera. The HD2 measures just around 3.1"W x 4.7"H x 1.4″D and weighs only 8.3 ounces. Sanyo has also integrated a new HDMI digital interface into the HD2’s multifunction docking station for digital output to HDTVs and high-definition video recorders.

The latest offering by SANYO is capable of recording up to 21 minutes of high-definition video (or up to one hour of standard-definition video) per gigabyte of available memory on any standard SD or high-capacity SDHC card (memory cards sold separately). One can also capture three hours of high-definition video, up to eight hours of standard-definition video or thousands of 7.1-megapixel digital still images on a single 8-gigabyte SDHC card.

One also comes across a digital image stabilization which uses original corrective algorithm developed by SANYO and a high-precision LSI (large-scale integration) circuitry which is a "high-definition engine” and is known to achieve high-definition 720p processing, real-time MPEG-4 compression and noise reduction.

The video recorder uses a 10x optical zoom lens which is built from 12 elements designed in 9 groups and with a built-in neutral density filter and has a maximum aperture of f/3.5 in both wide and telephoto angles. The lens can achieve an impressive 100x zoom and the digicam is also equipped with a 2.2-inch LCD display with 210,000 total pixels.

Sanyo Xacti S50 Digital Camera

The new digicam has some great features for its price tag like; 2x optical zoom, 5 megapixel resolution, large aperture of f/2.8 in wide and f/4.0 in tele.

The Sanyo Xacti S50 weighs just 118 grams and is equipped with a 2.5-inch LCD monitor with 210,000 pixels. It also has the innovative LTPS technology under its hood which in conjunction with the Auto-Adjust Function makes in the display viewable in different lighting conditions including bright daylight.

Via the S50 one is able to create a slide show with music and view it on the camera itself. One also comes across 15 scene modes like Scene: Sport, Portrait, Landscape, Night, Fireworks and a Super macro mode of 5 cm. Other nifty options includes; 9 -point auto focus, Spot and Tracking auto focus.

The Xacti S50 has a movie mode and supports formats like JPEG, QuickTime Movie, Wave. It is equipped with a USB 2.0 interface and Video out (NTSC/PAL). The S50 has an internal memory of 23MB and can run on 2 AA Batteries. It will be available soon for around €99.
