Epson Perfection V700 Photo Scanner Review

epson_v700_b.jpgThe folks a Cnet Australia have reviewed the Epson Perfection V700 Scanner and like it for its speedy performance, its comprehensive feature set and the on board FireWire and USB 2.0 connections. What they didn't dig was the lack of automatic document feeder option, its large bulky size, its noisy operation and its tendency to pause mid-way

The Epson Perfection V700 is a flatbed scanner which improves on its predecessor Perfection 4990 Pro and measures 57mm by 280mm by 430mm. It has a 6400 dpi resolution and promises to deliver precision color and detail, whether scanning slides, negatives or medium format film. One also comes across the Dual Lens System which automatically selects from two lenses for the desired scan resolution.

In the end the website writes "The Epson Perfection V700 Photo makes an excellent choice for a deep-pocketed photo hobbyist or a pro who needs to scan originals in a mixture of sizes."
