Season Finale of House to be shot with Canon 5D MarkII cameras

The season finale for Fox’s popular doctor show House will air on May 17, and it will be shot using ordinary Canon 5D Mark II cameras.
According to the director of the episode, Greg Yaitanes, this is “the future”. You mean no more expensive movie cameras and film when you can do it all on a DSLR? I don’t see why not. If you can save money, why shouldn’t you? Apparently, the crew reported that the shooting experience did not require “an overwhelming amount of work to adapt”. That’s refreshing to hear.
Something tells me that we’ll be seeing a lot more DSLR shooting in the future.
