See Your Friend’s iPhone Camera Feed With Knocking

It’s the strangest name for an iPhone app I’ve ever heard, but Knocking will actually do something downright amazing as it allows you to watch a friend’s iPhone camera feed.

The word from the live demo market says that the video is a bit jerky (which makes sense given that the video in question is being transmitted via iPhone), but aside from that, fully recognizable.  And in a very real way, this might be one of the better ideas that the iPhone’s had lately.

See, instead of sending still pictures back and forth, like we do now, Knocking will allow you to get a continuous video feed established, allowing you to jump from point to point or object to object without any real delay.

And even better is the price–the app will be free to the first fifty thousand people who want a copy of Knocking.  But after that, it’ll be three bucks.  Not bad for what amounts to a videophone!
