Sharp Develops Memory in Pixel LCD Ready to Remember Your Pictures
Sharp has come up with a new LCD which will definitely increase the battery life of your future mobile phone or camera. The Sharp Memory in Pixel LCD is a display capable of memorizing the image. How will that help you ask? Well since each pixel will remember the previous images then only those pixels that change content will be rewritten thus decreasing the power consumption and increasing the battery life.
The new LCD was developed on the Continuous Grain Silicon technology. Each Pixel is coming with memory circuits capable of remembering the information of the last uploaded image to the display. That way the LCD is going to consume 130 times less energy than regular LCDs. The Sharp LCDs will be available in Europe for display soon so we’ll be waiting for new cameras to pack the new LCD and show them to you as soon they’re out.
