Sigma Bows DP2 Camera Line at PMAs

PMA 2010 is under way, folks, and already new and interesting cameras emerge for us to gawk over and be thoroughly impressed by.  One of those is the upcoming DP2 line from Sigma.

The Sigma DP2′s are slated to be fourteen megapixel compact digital cameras with improved autofocus algorithms (which in turn allow for faster focusing), improved battery life with a power save mod, a new design (including a slightly smaller than the ordinary 2.5 inch LCD screen) and the ability to handle RAW images.  Plus, they record thirty frame per second video and offer a host of automatic shooting modes.

No one knows much about pricing and availability dates right now, folks, but the critical takeaway here is that the Sigma DP2s will be a pretty substantial improvement over their predecessors.  If you were into Sigma’s earlier line then you shouldn’t have a problem in the world with these.
