Sigma has just been kind enough to let us know that their 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM is now available for purchase.

This lens is specially designed for compatiblity with digital cameras that feature an APS-C sensor in addition to adding in some Optical Stabilization functionality and FLD glass all while fitting into a small form factor of just 3.6-inches long.

If this is something you’re interested in, Sigma has told us that it’s available now for Canon cameras at $980. They have also assured us that Nikon, Sigma, Sony and Pentax models will be coming within the next month or so. We’ll keep you updated.
