Sigma SD14 DSLR Camera Review

sigmasd14-front-001.jpgThe drool-worthy Sigma SD14 has been reviewed by the lucky folks at Pop Photo and lets see how it fared in their eyes. They liked the DSLR for its user-freidnly controls, its overall perofrmance, its three-color histogram, its Noise control and its battery. What they didn't like was 6-shot burst mode which they found slow.

The new Sigma SD14 DSLR will surely give all the DSLRs a complex with its colossal 14 Megapxiel resolution. The DSLR is equipped with a 2.5-inch, 150,000 pixel resolution LCD monitor and supports both Raw and Jpeg recording formats. The Sigma SD14 comes bundled with SIGMA Photo Pro 3.0 software, a RAW image developer and includes modes like X3F Mode, Auto Adjustment Mode and Custom Mode. Via the Image Sensor Dust Protector the sensor is protected from dust particles and other debris,

In the end they conclude "This is a solidly built camera, on a par with cameras in the Canon EOS 30D class. Our roving camera tester Jack Howard commented, “the design is chunky, and satisfyingly large. This is an unabashed DSLR that won’t get confused for an oversized EVF camera. Hard edges have a classic feel that bucks the current trend toward graceful sweeping lines and curves.” In other words, a little tank."
