SIGMA introduces 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC Macro HSM, 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC Macro Digital Camera Lenses
The Sigma Corporation is proud to introduce its two new lens models, 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC MACRO lens and 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC MACRO lens. The 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC MACRO lens is perfectly matched for a broad variety of themes and is made keeping in mind the digital SLR cameras featuring APS-C size image sensor. This lens has got a minimum focusing distance of 20cm (7.9”) throughout the entire zoom range. With its new design and the multi layer lens coating the flare and ghosting problems are eliminated. Because of a Special Low Dispersion (SLD) lens and the two aspherical lens elements this lens offers correction for every type of aberrations and thus produces a high level of optical performance.
The lens gives stunning performance, even in low light situations indoors or at dusk. Furthermore, this lens also employs a zoom lock that eliminates “Zoom Creep” while transportation. Talking about the second model 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC MACRO lens, it has got a big aperture of F2.8 all through the complete zoom range. The minimum focusing distance of the lens is 20cm (7.9") and a highest magnification of 1:3. All these features make it perfect for close-up photography. This lens is also designed to match the characteristics of digital SLR cameras and hence, offers a high level of optical performance.
The lens has integrated both glass-mold as well as hybrid aspherical lens system which gives out better peripheral brightness and high image quality. The inner focusing system in the lens eradicate front lens rotation which makes the lens perfect for using the petal-type lens hood (supplied) plus circular polarizing filters. Both the lenses 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC MACRO lens and 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC MACRO lens seems to be a great blessing for the photographers as they act as a complete solution to the photographer’s needs.
