Skype video chat booth appears in Estonia
I’m not certain why this Skype video chat booth has appeared in only Estonia’s Lennart Meri International Airport in Tallinn, but it sure is nice.
It allows users to take and receive video calls, but I have no idea if there is a charge for the users (there really should be one). This UFO-shaped booth will change color when a user is logged in, and has a motion-detector that will automatically log the user out when he or she leaves.
There is a touchscreen inside that measures in at 22 inches. There is a headset inside, but the user can use their own.
In all honesty, I am surprised that this is the first time that I have seen a Skype booth. I would have thought that these Skype booths would be all over the place after Skype started getting popular. However, with everyone having a cellular phone, I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw a phone booth.
