Ulead has launched a new imaging software called the Ulead PhotoImpact® 12 which promises to the one stop solution for all your imaging needs and is perfect for both beginners and pros. The software has a number of features, which promise hassle free operation, and thus daunting tasks like editing, enhancing cropping etc can be done quickly and with ease.

The Photoimpact 12 has an ExpressFix mode and the SmartGuide, which are perfect for beginners. The former helps in simplifying the interface and features a large preview screen with before and after views, and tools for adjusting color, exposure and focus using intelligent one-click presets. ExpressFix mode also has direct links to PhotoImpact 12’s White Balance correction feature.

Via the onboard SmartGuide "How-to" help panel one can manage multimedia tasks, which include Web and video and DVD. Apart from the software itself the whole package includes Ulead Photo Explorer 8.6 for managing and browsing; Ulead PhotoImpact Album 12, a database; Ulead COOL 360 for composing panoramic images; and Ulead GIF Animator 5.05. It will be available soon for $49.99 US.
