Solidmicro Develops Their Own Pico Projector

Solidmicro makes their move to enter the pico projector market with the development of a new device called the SD-HK800. Interestingly enough, this projector utilizes the Windows CE 5.0 platform, which is something you don’t see with most pico projectors. This device is a LCOS pico projector that’s packing 2GB of internal storage, a microSD memory card slot for memory expansion purposes and compatibility for PowerPoint, Excel, Word and PDF files. Furthermore, it also works with video file formats such as MPEG, AVI, MP4, WMV, and VOB and carries functionality for MP3, WMA, OGG, APE and FLAC audio files. However, the SD-HK800 failed to impress with its 640 × 480 VGA resolution, according to Ubergizmo. Currently, there is no information concerning price or availability for this Solidmicro pico projector.
