Sony Confirms New Alpha DSLR Cameras

It’s finally official folks! The Alpha 230, 330 and 380, which we kept talking about lately, have all been confirmed by their maker. Sony has officially released the cameras and we have more hot details for you. Besides the specs we have already dug in the recent past, the camera will support SD/SDHC cards besides Sony’s Memory Stick format.
Pricing details have also been revealed and we have a couple of changes. Choosing an L-series kit and the SAL-1855 standard zoom lens will bring the total price to $550, $650 and $850 respectively. Going for the Y-kit instead and getting the telephoto SAL-55200 lens will increase those prices by $200.
What model are you going to get? Sony will take orders soon:
Pre-orders will begin on May 18, 2009 at www.sonystyle.com/retail and at selected retailers nationwide. The cameras and a range of accessories will be available in July at Sony Style® retail stores (www.sonystyle.com/retail), at military base exchanges and at authorized dealers nationwide.
