Sony Cybershot DSC T77

The Sony Cybershot DSC T77 replaces last year’s DSC T70 camera and features a more powerful Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x optical zoom and a higher resolution 10 megapixel sensor. The zoom rage is a little wider than on last year’s model too, and it takes advantage of Sony’s Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization to minimize blur caused by camera shake at slow shutter speeds. The body of the camera is super-slim—just a little over half an inch thick, which makes it all the more amazing that so many advanced features are included.

The Cybershot DSC T77 comes with a revolutionary face-detection technology capable of recognizing up to eight faces simultaneously and focusing appropriately to create the clearest image. A smile-shutter function actually takes two images at once and discards any in which the subject’s eyes are closed. The Sony Cybershot DSC T77 retails for around $220.
