Sony DCR SX40 Camcorder Review–A Fantastic Model
I generally enjoy most of the Sony line of products, whether it’s their cameras or their televisions or their video game systems, Sony just usually brings a good product at something approaching a fair price.
Today we’re talking about the Sony DCR SX40 camcorder, a camcorder with a whopping 60x optical zoom, four gigs of onboard memory, Memory Stick compatibility and an included 2.7 inch LCD screen.
Even just a couple minutes spent with this camcorder will likely be enough to convince you to fall in love with it. The zoom is incredible and will make small print from across a room easily readable, as if you were holding a sheet of paper in your hands. The clarity is unbelievable, the controls are simple to learn, and with four gigs of onboard memory, that’s the equivalent of one entire DVD. Even better, it’s small and ultra-portable, making it a fantastic camera.
Even the price, two hundred and thirty bucks, depending as always on where you shop, isn’ t out of line. Thus, the Sony DCR SX40 is a great camera, and if you’re looking to pick one up, this is a great place to start looking.
