Sony DPFD92-B Digital Photo Frame Review–Obvious Branding Is Obvious
I’ve said it more than once and it bears repeating, Sony very seldom gives me trouble. They usually put out a good quality product at a half decent price that does its job and moves on, but in today’s case, the Sony DPFD92-B, I’m going to have a rather strange objection to it. One that, frankly, you wouldn’t expect me to normally have.
But first, the technical rundown. The Sony DPFD92-B is a nine inch LCD photo frame with alarm, auto image rotation, one gig of onboard memory (roughly enough for two thousand pictures) and compatibility with SD, MS, CF and xD memory cards.
The Sony DPFD92-B is a very nice frame overall. It looks great, it presents its images well, and on a personal note I love the clock. It looks terrific. The only real objection that I have to this piece is the large “SONY” brand right in the middle of the frame.
I don’t have a problem with putting the brand on the product, but in this case, it’s a bit too noticeable for my tastes. For the most part, however, the Sony DPFD92-B is a solid, reliable piece that will do its job and do it well.
