Sony DPFV1000/B Digital Photo Frame Review–Top of the Set
So we had a chance to take a look at a couple Sony frames these last two days, starting first with the Sony DPFN72N/B, and now moving on to the DPFV1000/B You’ll notice some important differences in these two, relating to both quality and price. Basically, the DPFV1000/B is the top of the series.
The Sony DPFV1000/B offers a ten inch LCD screen, a full gig of onboard memory, support for numerous memory card formats, including Memory Stick, Secure Digital, and CompactFlash along with a USB interface, Bluetooth capability, remote control, HDMI output, a slideshow mode, a clock display and a calendar display.
You’ll note that the DPFV1000/B looks a LOT like its predecessors, with the critical addition of Bluetooth capability, HDMI output and a larger screen. The image quality is roughly the same, being as the only real difference I can spot is, again, the screen size. But with a price tag of two hundred and fifty bucks out at Best Buy, you’ll have to make the call as to whether or not this is worth it for you. Are those extra two inches, HDMI and Bluetooth worth an extra eighty bucks? That’s a call you’ll have to make, but if you do find the value there, the product itself shouldn’t disappoint.
