Sony DSLR A200

The Sony DSLR A200 is a great entry level SLR camera for those whose main priority is budget. The DSLR A200 has a bigger screen than the A100, and it also comes with an ISO3200 mode and user controlled High ISO noise reduction. The A200 does not have the A100’s depth of field preview, but that lack, for those who may care about it, is compensated by a much cheaper price.

In diversifying the DSLR A100 into the DSLR A200, A300, and A350, Sony, like many other manufacturers of professional grade cameras, is hoping to entice the point and click market into upgrading to SLR with models that have some of the simplicity of point and click as well as some of the advanced features of a professional SLR camera—only with an amateur, affordable price point. That said, for the customer wanting to step up to the SLR plate for perhaps the first time, the Sony DSLR A200 is not a bad place to start.
