Sony, the undisputable market leader in the field of photography, introduces its DSLR-A700 camera for photography enthusiasts and serious photography hobbyists on September 5, 2007. It is compatible with Sony lenses and most of the Minolta Maxxum® mount lenses and is resistant to moisture and dust. This lightweight camera comes with an ultra-responsive operation along with advanced and enhanced imaging technologies. It boasts of an outstanding performance and rugged construction. This great gadget is likely to re-define and revolutionize the post-capture experience of photography with high quality image playbacks.

It has a 12.2-megapixel Exmor™ CMOS sensor which allows the conversion of analog-to-digital signals and reduction of dual noise right on its sensor itself. It also comes with an exceptional AF precision and its refractive index eyepiece lens provides 95% coverage along with a viewfinder magnification of 0.9x. It also has separate predefined slots for Memory Stick Duo™ media cards. The camera body, DT 18-250 mm and DT 16-105 lens are priced at $1,400, $550 and $580, respectively. The DSLR-A700K kit (18-70 mm lens) and DSLR-A700P kit (16-105 mm lens) is priced at $1,500 and $1,900, respectively.
