Sony Expands Hi-Def EVI PTZ Robotic Camera Series
Sony is all set to introduce its newest high-definition pan-tilt-zoom robotic cameras, the EVI-HD7V and EVI-HD3V. The cameras ideally suits for distance learning, corporate training and videoconferencing.
Both the EVI-HD7V (1080/60P) and EVI-HD3V (720/60P) uses a 1/3 inch CMOS image sensor with 2 million pixels. In addition, the cameras incorporates a DVI-I output that is HDMI-compatible and can be connected as DVI-D or DVI-A.
The new cameras share many features of their predecessor including high-speed pan/tilt operation, 16:9 aspect ratio images six position presets and a built-in 10 X optical zoom/wide angle lens. The pan/tilt/zoom functions and camera settings can be performed remotely at high speed via the RS-232C interface (VISCAâ„¢ protocol).
Both the innovative EVI-HD7V and EVI-HD3V cameras will be available in July, at $4,728 and $3,499 respectively.
