Sony Handycam celebrates 25th anniversary
In 1985, Sony introduced the Video 8, a CCD-M8 cam. It weighed in at 2.2 pounds, which was incredibly light back then. It used 8-millimeter cassettes, which is nothing like the digital SD cards we use now.
Sony is celebrating the 25th anniversary of this Handy-cam, and this video here shows how it has progressed through the years. I have no idea if the girl in the video is actually the same girl, but that would be cool if it was, right?
I would imagine that there is some sort of 25th anniversary product coming soon also.
