Sony Electronics presents the Sony HDR-CX500 HD Camcorder, a 32GB built-in flash memory embedded HD camcorder capable of 1920×1080 HD video recording. It also has a 12X megapixel still image capture for higher resolution photos.

It comes in a stylish black casing along with the popular geo-tagging and built-in GPS receiver. It comes with the usual map index function, face detection technology, smile shutter and an Optical Steadyshot to ensure quality image stabilization while in Active Mode.

It likewise has a 3.0” wide touch panel Clear Photo Plus LCD to assist users in composing and sharing videos easily. Other highlight features include:
