Recently, Sony introduced its new HDR-XR500V Handycam Camcorder. Offering you to do 1920 x 1080 HD video recording, this camcorder comes with a 120GB hard disk drive. Incorporating Exmor-R technology, this new Sony camcorder lets you capture 12.1 mega pixel still images.

Sony’s HDR-XR500V Handycam Camcorder features Exmor-R sensor that has been especially designed for compact cameras and camcorders to shoot video in low lighting conditions. There is also an in-built GPS receiver that automatically adjusts your camcorder’s clock to the proper time zone. Its 3.2” wide touch panel Xtra Fine LCD display lets you play the recording on the spot.

Face Detection, Smile Shutter Technology and Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilization with Active Mode are some other interesting features of the new Sony HDR-XR500V Handycam Camcorder. It also features a 12x optical and 150x digital zoom along with a 1/3.15” ClearVid CMOS sensor.
