Widely available in the US markets, the HVR-HD1000U (U for USA) Digital High Definition HDV camcorder is loaded with powerful features. Optimized to deliver superb performance with greater mobility, it enables 1080i high definition recording.

The HVR-HD1000U Camcorder boasts a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens with 10x optical zoom, LCD 0.27-inch type viewfinder and ⌽16mm speaker. The camcorder is perfect to record HD videos at important parties, functions and ceremonies. It offers advanced videography through Smooth Slow Rec, Super SteadyShot and Super NightShot functions.

Sony HVR-HD1000J (J for Japan) Digital High Definition HDV camcorder is expected to hit the markets by January 2009.
