Sony Japan is planning to release its 16GB Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX "MS-HX16G" Memory card on March 10th. The Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo MS-HX16G will be available with varied transfer rates. So far the series had 4 GB and 8GB Cards.

The Sony MS-HX16G Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX card has three versions with 30,20 and 15 MB/sec Read/Write transfer rates. The lower the transfer rate the lower the cost will be. The memory card will be accompanied by a USB card reader for direct connection with your PC.

The Sony MS-HX16G Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX card  is expected to retail at 16,000 Yen.
