Sony is expanding its family of XDCAM EX™ video products by including a new camcorder, the PMW-350 HD, designed to offer professionals the best of both worlds. For solid-state digital production, the camcorder delivers new level of creativity and flexibility.

The PMW-350 is a full shoulder-mount camcorder that features a sensitivity of F12 and three 2/3-inch Exmor™ full HD 1920×1080 CMOS imagers. The camcorder also features a DVCAM recording option and is studio-configurable, with time code in/out, genlock in, and HD-SDI and HDMI out.

The PMW-350K is a lens-packaged model that can easily switch between auto and manual focus with a16x zoom 2/3-inch bayonet mount lens. To enhance editing interoperability, the camcorder feature 1440×1080 recording mode at 35Mbps.

The PMW-350K camcorder will be available in January ‘09 and will cost $22,000, with lens.
