Sony UP-DF750 FilmStation™ Mammography Film Imager AT RSNA 2008

Sony_UP-DF750 Sony, one of the global electronic leaders, is again in news for debuting its new UP-DF750 FilmStation Mammography Film Imager at RSNA Conference 2008. This affordable and high-performance radiology printing solution features a high-resolution thermal printing system.

“When mammography sites go digital, the need for printing images still remains strong,” said Julie Holodak, radiology product marketing manager for Sony Electronics. “For consultations, second opinions and treatment planning, mammography image sharing is frequently accomplished with hard copies. However, since exams are typically read digitally, imaging sites are looking for printers that are cost-effective, compact and easy to use and maintain, while delivering the high image quality that the modality requires. This new imager was specifically created to meet all these demands.”

The new Sony UP-DF750 FilmStation Mammography Film Imager can produce detailed images at 606 dpi with a speed of 90 sheets per hour. Incorporating a built-in DICOM 3.0 interface, this device has been designed for ease featuring convenient front-mounted controls.
