Sony VAIO CP1 Wi-Fi photo frame

Sony broke fresh ground by offering wi-fi enabled digital photo frames. Its wireless VAIO CP1 model offers you easy access to photos, news and much more. The Wi-Fi photo frame also facilitates Internet radio streaming in real-time. Using the integrated Wi-fi technology, the CP1 model allows the streaming of visuals directly from a VAIO PC to the device. Boasting of 800×480 resolution, 7-inch LCD screen, the CP1 model gives refreshingly new lease of life to your memories and photos.

Besides, steaming images, the photo frame can also connect to Google™ Picasa™ web albums; it also allows you to upload your pictures on Picasso and allows you to simultaneously view four web albums. Apart from giving you the unique option of wirelessly accessing photos, it also shows images from Memory Stick® media, SD cards or digital still cameras. Exclusively compatible to CompactFlash® media card, it also houses storage capacity of 128MB. For the easy file storage, content comes categorized in sections called Frames.

“How many times have you uploaded images to our PC— vowing to share them— never to see them again,” said Xavier Lauwaert, product manager for VAIO product marketing at Sony Electronics. “This new frame provides an easy way to retrieve and share these precious memories that otherwise would have been forgotten.”

For the photo slideshow option, users get a plethora of choices in terms of movie-like presentation, flow slideshow, and Dissolve. It also supports a built-in RSS reader, stereo speakers and Internet radio. Other traditional features include- digital/analog clock with energy saving option. It will be available in the market from the month of October at a price of $300.
