The Sony Webbie HD Video Camera is designed for people who love to post videos to You Tube and other web sharing sites. The Webbie records High Definition MP4 video that plays easily on websharing sites and bogs, and also takes sharp, 5-megapixel still shots with no problem. The HD MP4 format is extremely versatile, and makes media files small enough to be easily transferred to a PC or Mac via a standard USB cable.
The Webbie can store up to 8.5 hours of HD video footage or thousands of photos (based on 16GB media) on one ultra-small Memory Stick PRO Duo media. (The Memory sticks are sold separately.) Memory stick slots are featured on many Sony Vaio notebooks and also on most card readers, which makes transferring videos to the computer a snap. The Sony Webbie comes with all necessary software, a lens cap, an AC adaptor, a wrist strap, and a USB cable and retails for $199.99.
