Sony uncovered its up-to-the-minute high-zoom digital camera, the Cyber-shot® DSC-H10. The company integrated features of much larger camera in a compact size to give utmost performance. The pocket-sized camera uses the powerful Carl Zeiss® 10x optical zoom lens with effective 8-megapixels to produce detailed images of distant objects. The camera will replace the trendy Sony DSC-H3 model to offer much wider functionality.

The DSC-H10 digital camera includes a 3-inch widescreen Clear Photo LCD PlusTM display for easier operation and media playback. Its advanced face detection technology identifies up to eight photos in a frame and provides them with perfect exposure. The camera offers Sony’s advanced sports shooting mode with high shutter speed and uninterrupted Auto Focus to record fast, instant shots.

Other features include high sensitivity shooting (up to ISO 3200), Super Steady Shot® optical image stabilization, Sony’s D-Range Optimizer (DRO) for brilliant captures in low or dim light, in-camera red-eye correction, built-in slideshow function and HDTV compatibility.

The Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-H10 digital camera will be available in May at an estimated price of $300. However, pre-orders commence from Jan. 31 at www.sonystyle.com.
