Another cool camcorder to drop in from the stables of Sony is the Sony DCR-HC48 Camcorder which is currently on display at the CES 2007. The Sony DCR-HC48 MiniDV Handycam camcorder is equipped with a 1 megapixel CCD.

The Sony DCR-HC48 promises exceptional analog video recording and uses the Sony Memory Stick Duo technology, which lets you record and transfer videos by putting in your PC's memory slot, or through the included Handycam Station. Sony is targeting the camcorder at both advance and first time users and care has been taken to make the camcorder as straightforward as possible.

The DCR-HC48 is outfitted with a 2.7" wide screen and one can preview their images in both 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios. Users can make use of the OneTouch Wide Angle shooting which helps in switching between the different aspect rations with just the touch of a button. One also comes across the Sony proprietary Image Stabilization Technology which helps in combating camera shake.

Another cool feature found on the camcorder is the TeleMacro function which helps in shooting and capturing footage in close up without having the camcorder casting a shadow on the subject. then there is the Super Night Shot Plus Infrared system which helps in capturing footage low light conditions or in the night.
