Sony previewed its newest lightweight photo printer, DPP-FP70 PictureStation. The printer is easy to set up and provides broad editing options. It includes Sony’s Bionz image processor for faster operation. The DPP-FP70 amazingly prints brilliant 4 x 6-inch image in just 45 seconds, its one button print process simplifies huge print jobs. Its Auto Touch-up feature easily corrects common picture problems such as exposure, focus and red-eye, a built-in 2.5-inch viewing screen adds convenience.

“Our new personal printer brings the photo lab to you, whether you’re out at a party or in the comfort of your home” said Kelly Davis, Sony Electronics’ senior product manager for PictureStation. “Digital cameras have brought picture-taking into our daily lives and our PictureStation photo printers are designed to complement the camera’s ability to capture and share memories in the moment.”

The compact printer offers robust photo improvement features by creating several simulations. It allows personalization of digital images through inscribing special messages such as “happy birthday,” “thank you’ etc. Its unique Filter feature lets you improve the photo quality by offering six options for modifying digital photos before printing. The Sony DPP FP70 printer supports majority of PictBridge cameras and gives outstanding output when used with Sony’s Cyber-shot and Alpha D-SLR cameras. Other features include dye-sublimation technology for constant color tone and SuperCoat 2 lamination to prevent fading, water, heat and fingerprints. The Sony DPP-FP70 PictureStation printer would be available for sale at a price of $150 at a store near you.
