Another new Camcorder to released by Sony is the DR-SR7 AVCHD high-definition camcorder which is also based on the AVCHD™ technology. The Sony DR-SR7 Camcorder is capable of recording more than 22 hours of full HD 1080 video on its built-in 60GB hard disk drive, making it extremely handy!

The Sony DR-SR7 is pretty compact when it comes to size and also offers users Sony’s HDD Smart Protection which helps in safeguarding against data loss as well as easy connection to PCs via USB. The camcorder has a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus screen and includes a nifty film roll button to view footage as a film roll index, which displays multiple scenes as thumbnails within a single movie file.

The camcorder features Sony’s 3-megapixel sensor for full HD 1080 video and 6-megapixel digital still photos. The on board Sony Super SteadyShot® optical image stabilization helps to enhance imaging and result in blur-free photos. Other features include; MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 support, Dolby digital audio,x.v.Color™ technology and Carl Zeiss® Vario-Sonnar T lens. The camcorder is also compatible with Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition 7.0e software update, as well as Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition software and will be available in June for $1,400.
