Sony exhibited the highly admired Cyber-shot® DSC-S780 Digital camera in a stylish new look with superior functionality. The 8.1 Mega-pixel digital camera has been enhanced with advanced features for utmost performance. It now offers advanced face-detection functions and adjusts exposure for up to three faces in a frame. It captures up to 270 shots with the new Lithium Ion batteries which replace traditional AA batteries for increasing backup time.

“Face detection is just one of the technologies we’re introducing to help customers take better photos more easily,” said Phil Lubell, director of marketing for digital cameras at Sony Electronics.

The DSC-S750 features large 2.5-inch LCD screen for better operation and includes advanced CCD imager sensor with 3x optical zoom to shoot unbelievable photos. With high sensitivity of ISO1250 it ensures crystal clear images even in back-lit situations.It offers a powerful five-point autofocus system, 22MB of internal memory for storage, seven preset shooting modes for different locations and supports Memory Stick cards as external storage.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S780 Digital Camera will ship in April for the suggested MSRP of $180.
